Find My not working - what does it mean?

Some AirPods may be labeled as “Find My not working.” This means that the AirPods are still associated with the original owner’s Apple ID and have not been signed out of Find My.

How is this possible? In practice, this happens, for example, when the original customer returns the AirPods within the 14-day period, but forgets to sign them out of their Apple account. If the original seller does not take this step, such a device can again enter circulation - and subsequently, perhaps, to us.

The headphones are fully functional for everyday use.
They can be easily paired with an iPhone, used for listening to music, making calls, and other everyday functions.

However, there are limitations associated, which we want to inform you about fairly and in advance:

  • Find My is not working – The device cannot be located or marked as lost.

  • Automatic switching between devices does not work – for example, between an iPhone and a Mac, even if they are signed in to the same Apple ID.

    • Example: During normal operation, AirPods will automatically switch from the device where nothing is happening to the device where you play content. However, for these headphones, the connection will remain on the original device and automatic switching will not occur.

In addition, the Find My audio search feature, specific for AirPods 4 (ANC) and Pro 2 models, will not work as well.

Proto jsou AirPods označené jako „Nefunkční Find My“ cenově zvýhodněné – a u modelů AirPods 4 (ANC) a Pro 2 ještě výrazněji.
